If you’re scared that artificial intelligence might take your job, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has some advice: don’t fear the technology, fear the people who know how to use it.

Talking about one of today’s biggest workplace debates, Huang said AI should be seen as a partner, not a replacement. Sure, it can handle certain jobs faster and more accurately than humans, but it still can’t match us in creativity, moral judgment, or emotional understanding, qualities he believes are essential in every field.

“AI can automate about 20 to 50 percent of repetitive or data-heavy tasks,” Huang said, giving examples from healthcare, engineering, and film production. In these areas, AI can help speed up things like diagnosing diseases or creating visual effects. But, he stressed, the final call still needs human judgment to make sure it’s right.

His most memorable line of the day got a big round of applause: “It’s not AI replacing you; it’s someone using AI replacing you.” He believes that learning how to work with AI tools will be key to staying competitive in the years ahead.

On AI safety, Huang compared it to designing a safe airplane — it takes careful planning, multiple safety checks, and input from people with different perspectives. Nvidia, he said, is working closely with researchers and regulators to build AI systems that are transparent, explainable, and built with ethics in mind.

He also admitted that AI isn’t perfect. It still faces problems like bias, misuse, and unexpected outcomes. That’s why, he said, the industry needs to balance fast innovation with responsibility, making sure the technology benefits everyone.

Huang’s bottom line? AI is here to stay, and it’s a powerful tool but it’s most effective in human hands. Those who know how to use it won’t just protect their jobs; they’ll shape the future of work.
