Popular Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has been introducing various beta updates lately to enhance user experience and streamline the app’s visual design. Now in a new update, the app is introducing a revamped calling interface for iPhone users with a bottom calling bar.
This new calling interface was first spotted by WABetaInfo in the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.24.12.14 update, where the company promised a series of enhancements and modernisation of WhatsApp’s calling screen. Now a similar update has been rolled out on WhatsApp version 24.14.78 on the App Store for iOS.
While the official changelog doesn't officially list this update, some users who have installed this latest version have discovered the new calling bar interface. This latest visual update improves the call experience by redesigning the top part of the calling screen with a semi-transparent background and with all the basic call controls at the bottom.
WABetaInfo also mentions that this update will gradually roll out to all users in the coming weeks. However, the official changelog doesn’t mention about it. With this calling interface update, WhatsApp users on iOS can also expect enlarged profile photos in the middle to make the interface more visually appealing.
iOS users are encouraged to keep the WhatsApp app updated by regularly checking the App Store and the TestFlight app to ensure they have installed all the latest feature updates and improvements.
