WhatsApp is taking user engagement to the next level by reportedly introducing a new Channel feature that lets admins create and share quizzes with their followers. Currently in the beta phase, the Channel Quiz feature is expected to be available on both Android and iOS soon, allowing channel admins to connect more effectively with their audience by enabling them to create fun and interactive quizzes.

WhatsApp testing Channel Quiz feature: Report

As reported by WABetaInfo, the Channel Quiz feature is part of the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS version 25.36.10.71. It allows Channel admins to access a new Quiz option within the Channel update interface, with the quiz creation process designed to feel familiar, especially for those who already use polls on various WhatsApp groups.

Further, it allows Channel admins to enter a question and add multiple answer options. However, unlike polls, a quiz requires admins to specify the correct answer before sharing it on the channel. When members select an option, WhatsApp immediately shows whether their answer is correct and plays a brief confetti animation, allowing a more pleasant experience for all users. It also boosts engagement, serving as a practical feedback tool for channel admins, especially with a huge number of users.

Channel admins can also view detailed results. They can also see how many people chose each answer and which Channel members participated. However, if participants are not saved in the admin’s contacts, their participation would be visible with limited details. Moreover, depending on a user’s privacy settings, only a profile photo might be visible on the quiz section, with the number and name hidden. The Channel Quiz feature was initially visible on the WhatsApp beta for Android, and with its arrival on the latest iOS beta, we could see a broader rollout soon.
