Third-person action shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 recently got the Reclamation update. The free game update adds the new “Reclamation” PvE mission, new Hero weapons and gameplay elements to the game. The Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 update adds two cosmetic DLCs for Season Pass 2 owners as well.

The Reclamation mission requires you to investigate the Imperial ship “Wrath of Espandor” after it sends out a distress signal.

Regarding the new Reclamation mission, publisher Focus Entertainment said in a website post: “The new Reclamation Operation takes place as the Imperium looks to drive the remaining Tyranid forces away from Avarax after prevailing on the ground. Unfortunately, the Wrath of Espandor has paid the price and fell silent shortly after issuing a distress signal. It is up to you to investigate the derelict ship and initiate a chain reaction to destroy it and all the Tyranids still on board.”

New Hero weapon variants and Armour pieces

Besides the action-packed PvE mission, the Reclamation update brings new Hero weapon variants for the Bolt Sniper Rifle, Heavy Bolter, Instigator Bolt Carbine, Heavy Bolt Pistol, Power Fist and Thunder Hammer. These can be unlocked with Accolades.

The Reclamation update also brings eight new Armour pieces in total, comprising four new Helmets and four unique pauldrons. These can be redeemed with Accolades currency.

Stratagems mode gets new Battlefield conditions

The Reclamation update adds “Modular Customization for Chaos Champions”; this lets players modify their Chaos Marines the same way they can with Space Marines in PvE modes.

The Blood Angels Champion Pack and the Salamanders Cosmetic Pack

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Reclamation update also brings two new cosmetic DLCs in the form of the “Blood Angels Champion Pack” and “Salamanders Cosmetic Pack” for Season 2 Pass holders.

“The Blood Angels Champion Pack brings a new skin for the Tactical class, a Blood Angels skin for the Chainsword, and an exclusive Jump Pack for the Assault class, while the Salamanders Cosmetic Pack adds 5 unique armour pieces honouring the warriors of Nocturne and 4 of their Successor Chapters: the Black Vipers, the Covenant of Fire, the Dragonspears, and the Dark Krakens,” the developers said in a website post.
