Vivo is set to launch its next midrange smartphones, the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro in India soon. The upcoming smartphone series will succeed the Vivo V30 series, which was launched in March this year. The Vivo V40 has already launched in the European market and the Indian model is expected to come with similar specifications.

Vivo V40, V40 Pro: Expected specifications

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Vivo V40 series will launch in India as the slimmest phone with a 5,500mAh battery. Moreover, the smartphone series will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This confirms the Vivo V40 Indian variant is likely to have similar specs as the one in Europe.

The upcoming Vivo V40 Pro was also spotted on the Geekbench listing by MySmartPrice and it managed to score 1,811 points in single-core and 5,229 points in multi-core tests. The listing further reveals that the phone will run on Android 14 out of the box and with 8GB RAM. It is also likely to be powered by an octa-core processor with a max clock speed of 3.35GHz, which could be the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus.

The Bluetooth SIG certification also confirms the V2347 model number for the Vivo V40 Pro, similar to the one spotted on Geekbench. The Vivo V40 series might also include a 3D curved display and an Infinity Eye Camera module, with Zeiss Optics for multi-focal portraits.

The V40 series is expected to launch next month in the Indian market.
