Vivo launches V50 smartphone with 50MP Zeiss cameras, dedicated wedding portrait mode

Vivo has launched the V50 smartphone in India. The handset comes with a 50MP Zeiss-tuned camera setup and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. The device also comes with AI-powered features and runs on Android 15-based FunTouchOS 15 out of the box.

Vivo has launched the V50 in three variants and the price starts at Rs 34,999.

• 12GB + 512GB – ₹40,999
• Available in Rose Red, Starry Night, and Titanium Grey.

The Vivo V50 is available for pre-booking via Vivo’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart, and select offline stores, including Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. Open sales will begin on February 25.

Customers can avail of up to 10% discount on HDFC and SBI bank cards or opt for an exchange bonus of up to 10%. The Vivo TWS 3e earbuds can be purchased at a discounted price of ₹1,499 with the smartphone. No-cost EMI plans for up to six months are also available.

Vivo V50: Features

The Vivo V50 features a dual 50MP rear camera setup, developed in collaboration with Zeiss, including a primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an ultra-wide lens. The Zeiss partnership brings multiple portrait styles such as Cine-Flare, Planar, and Biotar, while the Wedding Style Portrait mode is designed specifically for Indian users to enhance color tones and lighting for wedding photography. The front-facing 50MP camera incorporates AI Facial Contouring Technology, aimed at refining facial proportions in selfies.

Running on FunTouchOS 15, based on Android 15, the Vivo V50 includes AI-powered tools such as Live Call Translation, which provides real-time speech-to-text translation, and AI Transcript Assist, which converts audio recordings into text. Additionally, the AI Screen Translation feature translates text displayed on the screen, while Circle to Search enables gesture-based visual search through Google.

The smartphone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM (LPDDR4X) and 512GB storage (UFS 2.2). The device is equipped with a 6000mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. It also comes with an IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.
