Tinder has launched School of Swipe in India, a mobile-first learning resource that brings safety, emotional clarity, and practical dating guidance into one platform for young users. The initiative aims to help first-time and early-stage daters understand communication patterns, recognise boundaries, and move between online and offline interactions with greater awareness. The platform builds on a growing trend of young Indians seeking digital guidance for dating decisions, communication cues, and emotional well-being.

School of Swipe is shaped by insights from Yuvaa and inputs from Dr. Chandni Tugnait, Tinder’s relationship expert in India. It reflects the experiences of young daters who often rely on online information to understand safety, consent, and healthy behaviour in relationships.

Features

The platform includes Mindful Connections, a section offering guidance from Dr. Tugnait on boundary setting and emotional clarity. A Red Flag–Green Flag Quiz helps users evaluate behaviours and recognise healthy patterns. The Dating Dictionary explains evolving dating terms, while the Let’s Talk Consent Course and Dating Safety Guide outline steps for safe interactions, both online and offline. These guides are available in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, and Bengali to improve accessibility.

Survey data from Yuvaa shows that the pace of dating affects emotional well-being for many young Indians. Insights from Tinder’s Modern Dating Report highlight that strong emotional connection and meaningful conversations are seen as essential elements of a positive date. Yet, some daters continue to find emotional intimacy and managing feelings difficult, with a section turning to friends, counsellors, or structured resources for support.

Yuvaa’s on-ground interactions with young daters indicate a shift toward prioritising emotional stability, awareness, and personal boundaries. Many are embracing solo time, self-care, and reflective practices as part of their dating journeys.
