Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPhone SE smartphone in the coming months. Ahead of that several leaks and rumours have already surfaced online revealing key details about the unannounced iPhone. A recent report now reveals that the iPhone SE 4 could mark the entry of Apple’s first in-house 5G modem.

9to5Mac has reported that Apple may launch the iPhone SE 4 with a 5G modem made in-house. This means Apple could ditch Qualcmm’s 5G modem for iPhones. This will be the first 5G modem built by Apple.

While Apple isn’t going to launch the iPhone before 2025, it would be a little too early to consider this and we advise you to take it with a pinch of salt. However, it is not a mystery that Apple has been working on its own modem to replace Qualcomm’s in future iPhones and there’s a possibility that this rumour could become a reality.

Apple iPhone SE 4: What we know so far

According to leaks and rumours, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by an A18 chipset and reports suggest the new Apple 5G modem is likely to offer a big battery boost to the iPhone models if the rumours are considered to be true, we could get to see better battery life from the iPhone SE 4. Other than this, the iPhone SE4 is rumoured to get an OLED panel with the same 2532 x 1170 pixel resolution and Face ID support instead of Touch ID. The phone is expected to give Dynamic Island a miss.

As per reports, the phone is expected to come with a 48MP primary camera with a 12MP selfie camera.
