Tecno Pova Slim 5G to launch in India on September 4 with AI features and sleek design

Tecno is gearing up to launch the Pova Slim 5G in India next week, with the smartphone set to debut on September 4 at 12pm IST. A Flipkart landing page has already gone live, revealing key details of the upcoming device, which follows closely after the Pova 7 series launch earlier this year.

As the name suggests, the Pova Slim 5G emphasises a sleek form factor while packing in several notable features. The phone will include Ella, Tecno’s in-house voice assistant, with support for Indian languages such as Hindi, Marathi, and Tamil. AI-driven functions like Circle to Search and AI Writing Assistant are also highlighted, underlining Tecno’s push towards AI integration in budget-friendly devices.

The handset will arrive in a white colour option and is expected to build on the momentum of recent Tecno launches, including the Pova Curve 5G, which featured a Dimensity 7300 chip and premium touches like IP64 rating and slim profile. With the Slim 5G, Tecno appears to be doubling down on design, AI, and connectivity as it looks to capture more of India’s mid-range smartphone market.

The design features a curved display with symmetrical bezels and a centrally placed hole-punch camera. On the back, the horizontally aligned pill-shaped module houses a dual-camera setup with LED flash, surrounded by LED lights for an added aesthetic touch.

Connectivity is another strong focus. Tecno claims the Pova Slim 5G can maintain communication in low or no-signal areas through features such as No Network Communication, VoWi-Fi Dual Pass, 5G++ carrier aggregation, and bandwidth optimisation for better network reliability.
