Tata Punch facelift has finally arrived and it brings much more than just the new redesigned exteriors like connected tail lamp, upgraded DRLs, front grills and even the LED headlight setup. The changes are also present in terms of tech package and connectivity options users will get with the Punch 2026. The facelift focuses on meaningful tech upgrades that improve everyday usability, comfort, and safety.
From a new infotainment system with smartphone integration to advanced convenience and driver-assist features, here's everything that's new with Tata Punch 2026 in terms of technology.
New infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
One of the most important upgrades in the Tata Punch facelift is the new bigger 10.25 inches high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system. According to the company, the larger display offers improved clarity and a more responsive interface compared to the outgoing model. Crucially, it now supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless, enabling seamless smartphone integration for navigation, calls, messages, and music streaming.
This addition ensures drivers can rely on familiar smartphone apps rather than built-in navigation alone, making daily commutes and long drives more intuitive. The improved screen size also enhances visibility, reducing the need for repeated inputs while driving.
Charging and digital convenience
To complement its connected cabin, the Punch facelift introduces a 65W front Type-C USB charger. This high-output charging port supports fast charging for smartphones and other devices, addressing a common requirement for users who depend on navigation and media apps throughout the day. The inclusion of a Type-C port reflects a shift towards newer device standards and improves overall convenience.
The steering wheel also gets a smart digital interface, allowing drivers to access infotainment and vehicle functions without taking their hands off the wheel. This improves ease of use while maintaining focus on the road.
Cameras, displays, and visibility aids
The Tata Punch facelift brings segment-relevant driver assistance with the addition of a 360-degree HD surround view system. Using multiple cameras around the vehicle, the system provides a bird’s-eye view, making parking and low-speed manoeuvres easier, particularly in tight urban spaces.
Another key upgrade is the auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM), which automatically reduces glare from headlights behind the vehicle during night driving. This improves driver comfort and reduces eye strain on highways.
The facelift also includes rain-sensing wipers, which automatically adjust their speed based on rainfall intensity. Auto headlamps are part of the package as well, switching on or off depending on ambient light conditions, adding to overall driving convenience.
Climate control and cabin air quality
Inside the cabin, Tata Motors has replaced manual air-conditioning controls with Clima Touch automatic temperature control. This system allows occupants to set a desired temperature, with the car automatically managing cooling to maintain comfort.
An integrated air purifier is another notable addition, aimed at improving cabin air quality in polluted urban environments. This feature aligns with growing awareness around in-car air health and adds everyday value for city users.
Audio, safety tech, and everyday usability
The audio system in the Tata Punch facelift has been upgraded with a setup that includes four speakers and four tweeters, delivering improved sound balance and clarity. Tyre safety is enhanced with iTPMS as standard, offering real-time tyre pressure monitoring to help drivers maintain optimal tyre health.
The facelift also retains and builds on existing safety and convenience features such as hill hold control, hill descent control, follow-me-home lamps, and 90-degree door opening, which improves ease of entry and exit in tight parking areas.
iRA Connectivity and emergency calling
iRA Connectivity keeps the Tata Punch connected with remote vehicle controls, live tracking, health alerts, and emergency support, while SOS Calling with E-Call and B-Call ensures instant assistance during accidents or breakdowns, enhancing safety, control, and peace of mind on every drive.
