Bethesda’s open-world game Starfield could come to PS5, as per a report by Eurogamer. The report is based on a PlayStation logo decal found on a work-in-progress Creation on Bethesda’s Starfield mod website. The PlayStation logo was found right next to the Xbox and PC decals. The Creation has reportedly been removed from the website, which has only ignited the rumour of Starfield coming to Sony’s next-gen gaming console.
Creations in Starfield are mods built by the community that can be uploaded and used in the game. Starfield Creations are both free and paid. The paid ones can be purchased with in-game currency; Bethesda even offers 1000 Creation credits to those who get the Starfield Premium Edition. Mods have kept some of the most well-known games by Bethesda like Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim still alive amongst gamers.
Although there is not a lot to say about Starfield updates as they are few and far between (the last one was in November 2024), Bethesda has "exciting things" planned for Starfield in 2025. Could it include a PS5 port announcement? It looks that way.
Starfield received its first expansion in Shattered Space last year, which got mixed reviews, just like the space RPG that took 25 years to launch. There is one more coming, Bethesda chief Todd Howard earlier confirmed in an interview with the YouTube channel MrMattyPlays. Bethesda is yet to come up with a release date, however. Let’s hope the next Starfield expansion revitalizes Bethesda Softworks’ space RPG experience for players who got bored with the game.
