The Bravia Projector 7 and Bravia Projector 9 will be available across Sony’s authorised distributor network in India starting July 15, 2025. The starting price for the new series begins at Rs 6.5 lakh.
Sony Bravia Projector 7 and Projector 9: Features and specifications
At the core of both models is the Bravia XR Processor, which brings advanced picture enhancements through technologies such as XR Dynamic Tone Mapping, XR Deep Black, XR TRILUMINOS PRO, and XR Clear Image. These functions collectively improve brightness, contrast, colour reproduction, and image clarity.
Bravia Projector 9 delivers a peak brightness of 3,400 lumens, while the Bravia Projector 7 offers 2,200 lumens. Both support 4K resolution at 120fps with an input lag of 12ms, making them suitable for both cinematic viewing and gaming. The inclusion of Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) via HDMI 2.1 enhances responsiveness during gameplay.
Both models are compatible with IMAX Enhanced content and include features designed for gaming, including low input lag and support for 4K at 120Hz. Bravia Projector 9 additionally features a Live Colour Enhancer, optimising performance in well-lit environments.
The projectors are compatible with various home automation systems such as Control4, Crestron, Savant, AMX, and remote services like OvrC and Domotz. They also offer flexible installation options, including lens shift and Corner Keystone correction, ideal for rooms with high ceilings or limited space. The Bravia Projector 7 includes a unique aspect ratio scaling function, allowing users to switch between 2.35:1 and 16:9 formats without manual lens adjustments.
With the addition of Bravia Projector 7 and 9, Sony is aiming to strengthen its position in the high-end home theatre segment in India, catering to enthusiasts who demand both performance and flexibility.
