Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has spotlighted three new Copilot AI features that he says have become an integral part of both his work routine and personal life. In a short video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Nadella described these updates as breakthroughs that redefine how users interact with computers: even likening one to the leap brought by touchscreens.
Voice-first Copilot on Windows
According to Nadella, the new voice-activated Copilot on Windows is “the most exciting way to interact with a computer since touch.” He compared it to having “a new mouse — except it’s voice,” allowing him to summon Copilot instantly while writing emails or reviewing documents. The assistant can then answer questions or pull up information on demand. “It retrieves what I need instantly, and it’s just fantastic,” Nadella said.
Mico, the ‘Socratic tutor’
The second feature Nadella highlighted is Mico — a newly introduced Copilot persona designed to make AI interaction more conversational and educational. He described Mico as “a Socratic tutor” that doesn’t just respond with facts but actively helps users learn. Nadella shared that he recently explored Egyptian mythology with his daughter through Mico, noting how the AI “taught us both what we wanted to know — not just gave us information.”
Your AI planner and mental load manager
The third feature Nadella mentioned ties to Copilot’s growing role as a personal and professional organiser. While he didn’t name a specific tool, he credited Copilot with helping him “plan, learn, coordinate — and stay sane” amid a busy schedule.
“These three have become my daily go-to,” Nadella said, adding that Microsoft is “building fast” and encouraging users to test the features themselves.
