Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Fold 6 Special Edition this week. It is thinner and lighter than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 and has an 8-inch main screen with a 10:9 aspect ratio. It has been officially launched in South Korea and the book-style foldable features a striped pattern back. It is offered in a single black shadow colour option.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: Price, availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is priced at 2,789,600 won ($2025/Rs 1,70,200 approx) for the single 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model. It will be available in Korea from October 25th through the brand website and other online channels such as T Direct Shop, KT, and Eu+.
Prospective buyers who purchase the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition by December 31st will be provided with discount coupons for the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra devices.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: Specifications, features
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Editions features marginally bigger screens when compared to its predecessor. It has an 8-inch internal main foldable display and a 6.5-inch outer screen, in comparison to the 6.3-inch external and 7.60-inch internal screen. Both panels feature a 120 Hz refresh rate support and the external one has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The Special Edition Z Fold 6 is also slimmer as it is 4.9 mm thick when unfolded and 10.6 mm in its folded state. The weight has dropped down to 236 grams, which is 3 grams less than the vanilla Z Fold6. However, the Special Edition Z Fold 6 lacks S-Pen support.
In terms of optics, Samsung has bumped up the main shooter to 200MP. The rest of the lenses remain unchanged. The phone also is available with 16GB RAM support and comes with sole 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
