Samsung launches Odyssey 3D, OLED G8, and G9 monitors in India: Prices, features and availability

Samsung has expanded its gaming monitor portfolio in India with the launch of its 2025 Odyssey series, featuring three new models: Odyssey 3D (G90XF), Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), and Odyssey G9 (G91F). The line-up introduces several firsts, including the country’s first glasses-free 3D gaming monitor and the world’s first 4K OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The Odyssey 3D monitor is Samsung’s first in India to offer a glasses-free 3D gaming experience. It uses advanced eye-tracking and view-mapping algorithms to deliver real-time 3D visuals without the need for special eyewear. The monitor also features AI-powered video conversion that turns standard content into 3D, allowing a broader range of content to benefit from the technology. With a 27-inch display, 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, AMD FreeSync support, and spatial audio with built-in speakers, the Odyssey 3D targets immersive gameplay. The Reality Hub app detects compatible video content and offers 3D playback options.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is being offered in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes. It is the world’s first 4K OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time. It supports VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 and is powered by Quantum Dot technology, offering improved colour reproduction and deeper contrast levels. Samsung has included OLED Safeguard+ with Pulsating Heat Pipe cooling to reduce the risk of burn-in and enhance screen longevity. It also features glare-free certification by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), with reduced reflections for distraction-free viewing. Core Lighting+ and a slim metal frame add to the design.

The Odyssey G9 is a 49-inch ultra-wide curved gaming monitor with a Dual QHD resolution and 1000R curvature. It offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium support. Certifications include VESA DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+ Gaming. The monitor also supports multitasking features like Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes, and Auto Source Switch+ for quick input detection.
