Samsung announces Galaxy S25 with ProVisual Engine and Genini Live: Price, features and more

Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone lineup – the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in San Jose, California. At the base of the lineup sits the most affordable – Galaxy S25. The smartphone comes equipped with multimodal AI agents for enhanced natural interactions and post-quantum cryptography for advanced data security. The Galaxy S25 is aimed at providing personalised and secure mobile experiences.

Apart from these, Samsung has also made some hardware improvements such as an updated chipset, improved camera experience and the latest OneUI 7 user interface based on Android 15.

Galaxy S25 features

Samsung Galaxy S25 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. According to the company, the chip has been optimised to offer improved capabilities for AI tasks. The phone runs Samsung’s latest One UI 7 interface, which provides context-aware AI experiences while prioritising data privacy through Knox Vault. The Personal Data Engine ensures that all personalised data is processed on the device.

The device includes a new 50MP ultrawide camera sensor, enabling better photo quality. It also supports 10-bit HDR recording by default, enhancing colour depth and low-light video clarity. The AI-driven features include actionable searches, natural language understanding for locating files, and Drawing Assist for creative outputs.

On the sustainability front, the Galaxy S25 incorporates recycled materials, including a battery with 50% recycled cobalt. It also offers seven years of software and security updates, ensuring a longer device lifespan.

Apart from that, Samsung is also offering six months of Gemini Advanced and 2TB of cloud storage at no additional cost. Apart from this, the phone will also offer seven years of software updates.
