Samsung launches Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16 5G smartphones with up to 6 years of software support: Price, offers, features and more

Expanding its smartphone lineup, Samsung has launched two new smartphones under the Galaxy M series lineup. The Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16 5G come as entry-level and budget offerings from the company and offer features like a 50MP camera, and a 5000mAh battery. Most importantly, the phones come with extended software support with up to 6 years of OS updates.

The Galaxy M16 5G is available in three variants:

4GB+128GB – Rs 11,499 (includes Rs 1,000 bank cashback)

6GB+128GB – Rs 12,999

8GB+128GB – Rs 14,499

The Galaxy M06 5G is available in two variants:

4GB+128GB – Rs 9,499 (includes ₹500 bank cashback)

6GB+128GB – Rs 10,999

Customers can avail of bank cashback offers to get additional discounts on select models. The Galaxy M16 5G will be available in Blush Pink, Mint Green, and Thunder Black, while the Galaxy M06 5G will come in Sage Green and Blazing Black.

The smartphones will be available for purchase through Samsung’s official channels and online platforms.

The Galaxy M16 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy M06 5G comes with a 6.7-inch HD+ display. Both devices have a new linear camera module and slim designs, with the M16 5G measuring 7.9mm thick and the M06 5G at 8mm.

Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. They support multiple 5G bands across telecom operators.

Samsung has also introduced the Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay in this segment with the Galaxy M16 5G. Both devices include Samsung Knox Vault for security and Voice Focus for improved call clarity.

The Galaxy M16 5G has a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, along with a 13MP front camera. The Galaxy M06 5G features a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera.

Both smartphones come with 5000mAh batteries and support 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy M16 5G offers 6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates, while the Galaxy M06 5G provides 4 generations of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
