Moreover, this upcoming device is reportedly codenamed W26 and may offer iterative changes over the original handset.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Special Edition: Launch details
Samsung’s China website has revealed that a new foldable smartphone will be launched in China on October 11 at 4 PM local time. The teaser banner suggests a foldable handset, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with black and red colour options and a golden frame. While specifications remain under wraps, this Special Edition Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to have a slimmer design and could offer better cameras with upgraded screens.
Further, a SamMobile report suggests that this upcoming foldable will be codenamed W26 and will be restricted to just China. Notably, Samsung also introduced a special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 last year in China with a thinner and lighter design, improved camera system, and bigger inner and outer screens.
Further, like the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7, this upcoming special edition foldable smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and offer up to 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage. It could boot with One UI 8.0 out of the box. The company could also announce its first triple foldable smartphone in the coming weeks.
