Samsung has expanded its enterprise mobility portfolio in India with the launch of the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition, a rugged 5G-enabled tablet designed for professionals working in challenging environments. Priced from ₹49,999, the device is now open for advance bookings starting August 18, 2025.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 is engineered to withstand extreme work environments, making it ideal for industries like logistics, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, retail, and public safety. It features military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H certification) and IP68 resistance against dust and water. Samsung has also equipped the bundled S Pen with IP68 certification, allowing seamless note-taking even in tough outdoor conditions.
The tablet sports an 8-inch WUXGA display with a 120Hz refresh rate, optimized for outdoor visibility. It is powered by a 5nm octa-core processor, paired with memory options of 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB.
Security and productivity are key highlights. The Galaxy Tab Active5 comes with Samsung Knox Vault and offers a 12-month complimentary Knox Suite Enterprise Security subscription (worth ₹4,515). Businesses also get productivity bundles including Brity Works collaboration tools, Zello Push-to-Talk services, and discounts on Google Workspace.
Another standout feature is the 36-month warranty (12 months for the battery), which is rare in this category. The tablet ships with Android 15 and promises 7 years of OS upgrades, ensuring long-term enterprise usability.
To support field operations, Samsung has included a user-replaceable 5,050mAh battery with support for No-Battery Mode—allowing continuous use while connected to external power. Loud dual speakers, programmable push-to-talk keys, and glove/wet-touch sensitivity make it highly adaptable for on-ground teams.
