
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The S26 Ultra brings a host of new features and the showstopper among them is the new a hardware-based privacy display and agentic AI capabilities -- marking the next-generation of AI features for its smartphones. This brings focused on task automation, improved on-device security, and cross-app assistance.
Additionally, the flagship smartphone also brings camera upgrades, a new chipset, and fast charging support.
Privacy display and agentic AI features
Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the hardware-based privacy display narrows the visible viewing angle while maintaining colour accuracy and brightness for the primary user. Samsung says this approach reduces the risk of shoulder surfing during payments, work communication, and document viewing.
Apart from this, the new Agentic AI on the Galaxy S26 Ultra combines on-device processing with encrypted cloud support. The system can understand complex requests, move between supported apps, summarise content, and execute actions without repeated prompts. Samsung has integrated these features within its Knox security framework to protect personal data during AI operations.
Camera, performance and battery upgrades
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with adaptive refresh rate technology. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon processor paired with up to 16GB RAM and storage starting at 256GB.
In photography, the smartphone includes a 200MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide camera, and dual telephoto lenses offering optical zoom at different focal lengths. Samsung continues its focus on AI-assisted image processing for night photography, portrait detection, and video stabilisation.
The device packs a 5,500mAh battery with fast wired charging and wireless charging support.
