Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera review with samples in 9 points

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra comes packed with the company’s latest and best camera hardware. There’s no denying that it is one of the most powerful camera phones in the market. In addition to the new ProVisual engine, the company has also updated the ultrawide camera to 50MP from 10MP. Apart from that, the S25 Ultra features a 200MP main sensor, a 10MP 3x optical zoom and a 50MP 5x telephoto sensor. In addition to these, there’s a 12MP front camera. Apart from this, Samsung claims that it has updated the shutter speed along with the image processing engine to offer better and more detailed output. I have used the Galaxy S25 Ultra for a few days and have managed to capture some interesting photos. Take a look.

To test the camera of Samsung’s new flagship phone, I captured several photos in different scenarios and settings, including ultra-wide shots to 100x zoom shots. Let’s take a look at some pictures and the camera review of the all-new Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Crosswalk hustle and bustle

Image 1: Crosswalk hustle and bustle
In this image, a person is waiting for his turn to cross the road. I like to call it Crosswalk hustle and bustle. That’s not the point, if you look closely, there’s a gradual blur with a clean bokeh effect for that nice depth. Moreover, the sky the lights and the subject is very clear. The dynamic range and colours are close to natural too.

Image 2: The Zoom game
Samsung Galaxy S Ultra phones have been carrying the ‘Zoom-king’ title for a while and with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung isn’t planning to lose that title. Starting from 0.6x, you can see that there are plenty of details in the image and a good amount of dynamic range too. As you start moving on the zoom ladder, the phone’s camera starts impressing you. The best part is Samsung has managed to maintain the colour tone in the photos across the zoom range. But, when it comes to details, the 30x shot is good enough, only the 100x shot becomes a little soft and loses quality.
Image 3: Downtown cityscape

Image 3: Downtown cityscape
Downtown cityscape from an ultra-wide perspective is a good picture to analyse a phone’s camera. You can see the Sun is trying to peak a little from behind the building, then there are elements – building, sky, tree, vehicles, etc. For starters, the sky’s colour is accurate and the building is well lit too with details and contrast levels right where they should be. Most importantly, the distortion levels are maintained and the shadows around the windows or the shadow on the left side of the building are clearly visible. Most phones – even premium ones tend to make the colours flat which looks nice, but lose when it comes to offering a character.

It’s a nice and quiet corridor for some peaceful walking. Well, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has captured that essence pretty well as you can see the colours painted on the road are vibrant yet accurate and close to the original. Also, if you can notice, the left side has an ultra-wide perspective and the right side has a 1x (wide) – the colour accuracy in both the images are same and close and that’s something Samsung also talked about at the keynote and this is one of the major improvements that Samsung has made with the S25 Ultra. Also, the contrast, sharpness and shadows are on point in both the images.

Image 5: Urban jungle
The image represents a day-to-day journey in a person’s life. And, when it comes to S25 Ultra’s camera prowess, you can notice, how well the S25 Ultra has added a blur effect at the front and kept the bottom part of the image in focus. This means the focus distance of Galaxy S25 Ultra’s main camera is less which is a good thing. Most impressively, the image has a lot of shadows on the road and the texture and colour of the road are also impressive.

Galaxy S25 Ultra price
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 Ultra at a starting price of Rs 1,29,999. This is the price for the base 256GB variant. However, if you pre-book the phone you can get a free storage upgrade which means, you can get the 512GB variant at just Rs 1,29,999.
Galaxy S25 Ultra camera verdict

Galaxy S25 Ultra camera verdict
When it comes to camera capabilities, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still one of the most powerful phones on the market. The phone delivers an all-around camera performance whether it is in terms of quality, zoom, bokeh effect or closeup shots. The dynamic range, colours and shadows are just perfect and most importantly, the phone’s new visual engine reduces the shutter lag as well. Apart from this, all the sensors on the Galaxy S25 Ultra now have similar colour tones and you don’t feel that shift in terms of colours when switching from one lens to another on the fly.
Overall, if your priority is the camera in a new Android smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the absolute best you can buy today.
