Samsung is preparing to introduce two new smartphones in India under its budget-centric Galaxy M series. The company has teased the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G and the Galaxy M06 5G through various social media posts. However, the company has not yet confirmed an exact release date, with Samsung’s Amazon teaser confirming their upcoming launch and revealing the rear design.
Samsung Galaxy M16 5G, M06 5G India launch: Key details
According to a new post on Samsung India’s X handle, there is a single teaser image of the phone, which reveals that the upcoming M06 will have two rear cameras, while the M16 might have three cameras. Both devices are also confirmed to have a vertical rear camera layout. The teaser image has the ‘Can’t beat the monsters’ tagline and Samsung has confirmed that these devices will launch soon.
Recently, the Samsung Galaxy M06 5G, with its model number SM-M066B/DS was spotted on Samsung India's support page and also appeared on Geekbench last month. The device is tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and will likely have up to 8GB of RAM. Moreover, it is expected to run Android 15 with One UI 7, closely matching the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy F06 5G.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G with model number SM-M166P/DS was spotted on Geekbench a while back with a single-core score of 735 and a multi-core score of 1,758. This phone is also expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and Android 15 out of the box.
