Rumours about Samsung working on a slim version of Galaxy S25 had been flying around for months and the moment has finally arrived where Samsung has put rumours to rest. The company has showcased not the 'slim' but Galaxy S25 Edge officially at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event alongside the launch of Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge design
Not much is known as of now about the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, the company has provided the glimpse of the design at the event. The smartphone will feature a slim form factor and a little bit rounded from the side rails. Apart from that, the phone appears to have a dual rear camera setup with the similar island style housing which also protrudes a little bit from the phone’s body.
S25 Edge
Additronally, we don’t know what material will Samsung use for the phone and features it will offer.
History of Galaxy Edge phones
Samsung started the ‘Edge’ tag with the Galaxy Note Edge where the company for the first time integrated the curved display on the right side of the phone and also packed some neat functions such as a clock, notification panel and even option to take and reject calls.
The Edge lineup was then extended to the S series phones with Galaxy S6 Edge, followed by Galaxy S7 Edge which was the last phone with Edge monkier.
Comeback of Edge mokier
Galaxy S25 Edge will mark the comeback of the monkeir again. However, we doubt it will be for the same reasons. Well, earlier the Edge name was for the curved display that allowed the phone to appear slimmer and offered a sleek look and feel.
While the essence of the phone is likely to remain the same, the major take away of the S25 Edge will be the slim form factor overall.
