Samsung has announced the rollout of Mobile Tap and Pay support for AU Small Finance Bank Visa Credit Cards on Samsung Wallet. The feature allows AU credit card users to complete contactless transactions using NFC-enabled Samsung Galaxy smartphones, removing the need to carry physical cards for regular purchases. The partnership strengthens Samsung Wallet’s reach in India’s digital payments ecosystem.
How Tap and Pay works
AU Small Finance Bank customers can add their AU Visa Credit Cards to Samsung Wallet and use Tap and Pay at any NFC-enabled POS terminal. Payments function in the same manner as standard contactless card transactions. Once the card is added, users can simply unlock their Galaxy smartphone, hold it near the supported payment terminal and complete the transaction. Samsung states that the feature uses secure processing layers built into Samsung Wallet and the device’s hardware.
Statements from Samsung and AU Small Finance Bank
Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director, Services and Apps Business, Samsung India, said the collaboration expands access to convenient digital payments for Galaxy users. He added that Mobile Tap and Pay will allow AU customers to complete transactions directly from their devices.
Uttam Tibrewal, Executive Director and Deputy CEO, AU Small Finance Bank, said the partnership aligns with the bank’s focus on digital banking. He mentioned that integrating AU Visa Credit Cards with Samsung Wallet supports customers who prefer mobile-first transaction options.
Availability and compatibility
