At its 47th Annual General Meeting, Reliance Jio announced its new AI Service platform – JioBrain. The new AI platform aims to democratise AI adoption in the country. JioBrain will also enable developers and other service providers to build their AI apps and leverage AI tools for their apps and services.
JioBrain will first be implemented within Jio apps, services and other Reliance-operated companies to perfect the service to create a powerful AI service platform. Jio also plans to offer JioBrain AI services to other vendors in future.
Jio also plans to offer power AI solutions as a part of the JioBrain platform. To power AI solutions, the company has also set up a Gigabyte–scale AI-ready data centre in Jamnagar.
Scaling the AI implementations
To widen the AI adoption, Jio is opening AI interim facilities across captive locations across the country. Also, the company will be partnering with leading global technology companies and innovators to bring advanced tools and services to the country to make AI implementation more affordable.
The company aims to extend the AI application across different sections including retail, entertainment, agriculture, healthcare, entertainment and education sectors.
Privacy regulations
All the AI models and services will be hosted within India border and will be comply with India’s data and privacy regulations.
