After introducing the Redmi Turbo 4 series earlier this year, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is now gearing up to launch its successor in China soon. They could provide a significant upgrade from previous-generation devices, once again, in terms of battery technology and charging efficiency. Moreover, the recent certifications indicate that these handsets are nearing their official announcement.
Redmi Turbo 5, Redmi Turbo 5 Pro: Expected specifications
The Redmi Turbo 5, carrying the model number 2511FRT34C, is reportedly set to launch this month in China. The handset has appeared on China's 3C certification database as well, which lists an MDY-18-EW charger capable of 100W fast charging. Previous leaks and reports have claimed that the device may pack an 8,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging.
Previously, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo had claimed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro will feature a 1.5K LTPS flat display integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The screen will have large, rounded corners, complemented by a metal mid-frame. It will likely draw power from a huge battery of around 9,000mAh capacity and offer 100W charging.
However, there is no information about the launch timeframe of the Redmi Turbo 5 series. Since the Redmi Turbo has only been spotted on the 3C certification website, we can expect it to launch this month. However, the RedmiTurbo 5 Pro could debut at a later timeline launch, with leaks suggesting an early 2026 release.
