Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare will soon be playable across more platforms than ever before, as Rockstar prepares a polished new release for iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The update delivers the full single-player experience of both games, plus all bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
For the first time, fans will be able to play John Marston’s journey on mobile with touch-friendly controls. Netflix subscribers get an extra perk: both titles will be available to download and play at no additional cost as part of the streaming service’s growing games library.
On current-generation consoles, players can expect major visual and performance improvements. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions support 60fps, enhanced image quality, HDR, and up to 4K resolution. Switch 2 players will see support for DLSS, HDR, mouse controls, and smooth 60fps gameplay at high resolution, thanks to the upgraded hardware.
Rockstar is also offering generous upgrade paths. Anyone who owns the PS4, Switch, or Xbox One digital versions can move to the new editions at no extra cost. PS4 and Switch owners can continue using their existing save data, making for a seamless transition.
Developed with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, these updated editions will also join the GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on launch day. Players old and new can return to the frontier with refreshed visuals and broader availability.
