Snapdragon X Plus

Ahead of IFA 2024, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has expanded its PC processors --  Snapdragon X Series by introducing the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform. This new platform aims to bring multiday battery life, improved performance, and AI-powered Copilot+ experiences to a broader audience by making it more accessible.

The Snapdragon X Plus platform is powered by the 8-core Qualcomm Oryon CPU, which offers a 61% faster CPU performance while requiring significantly less power compared to competing platforms.

The processor also comes with an integrated GPU that supports up to three external monitors. The platform also includes a 45 TOPS NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for AI processing, which enables a range of AI-driven functionalities and is optimised for performance per watt.

The Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform is designed to deliver transformative experiences in ultra-portable devices. The AI capabilities, powered by the NPU, enhance various features, including Qualcomm's Copilot+ experiences.

These features are intended to boost productivity in tasks such as creating presentations on the go and videoconferencing.

Snapdragon X Plus 8-core laptops

To make the processor available on more devices, Qualcomm has partnered with multiple OEMs including Asus and Microsoft. We also expect the processor to power laptops from other brands as well. Select PCs powered by the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform are already available for purchase.
