The latest update in Grow a Garden has completely transformed how players engage with farming and gameplay. Released on August 2, the Cooking and Trading Event brings new depth to the popular Roblox title, introducing timed recipes, strategic trades, and an entirely new layer of reward-driven progression.
At the heart of this update is the Chris P. Bacon cooking challenge — a rotating event where players must combine harvested crops and fruits to prepare specific dishes. These are handed to the in-game character Chris P. Bacon, who offers unique rewards in return. With his requests changing every hour, the event becomes a fast-paced race to meet shifting demands.
All rewards from Chris P. Bacon’s cooking event:
Gourmet Seed Pack
Gourmet Egg (contains new pets)
Pet Shard Fried
Mochi Mouse
Artichoke Fence and Fork Fence cosmetics
Food Crate with themed items: Pink Cake, Banana Hammock, Hotdog Cart, and Golden Hotdog Statue

How trading works now
Trading has been overhauled with a ticket-based model that limits spam and boosts trade value. Players must first purchase a Trading Ticket (priced at 100,000 Sheckles from the Gear Stall) before they can begin any item exchange.
This ensures high-value trades are intentional, secure, and more strategic, especially with the rising demand for rare cooking and cosmetic items.
Other major additions:
Grandmaster Sprinkler: Rare prismatic sprinkler with a low drop rate
New furniture and cosmetics: Food-themed décor for your garden
Cooking area location: Found in the lobby’s brand-new kitchen section
Platform support: Available across iOS, Android, and PC
This is easily the most significant event in Grow a Garden so far. With exclusive time-limited pets, strategic trade options, and rotating cooking tasks, players now have more ways than ever to climb the ranks and customise their farms.
