The POCO F7 series, which includes the POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra, debuted globally last month. Previous reports claimed that one of these smartphones will launch in India soon, as confirmed by the company head. However, amidst this, a new Poco smartphone, believed to be the POCO F7, has bagged the BIS certification, hinting at its imminent launch in India.

Poco F7: India launch details

According to a new report by XpertPick, a new Poco device with the model number 25053PC47I has bagged the BIS certification. While the company has not revealed the marketing name of this smartphone, it is believed to be the Poco F7. The screenshot of the listing from the report suggests that the phone received the certification earlier this week, with the ‘2505’ in the model number indicating a May launch window.

Poco F7: Expected specifications, features

Multiple leaks and rumours have tipped that the Poco F7 could be the international variant of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4, which is likely to launch in China at the end of this month. Further, the handset is likely to come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC.

The smartphone might also pack a 7000mAh/7550mAh battery with 90W wired charging support. In terms of optics, it might feature a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The device is also expected to have a metal frame and an IP68/69-rated certification for improved dust and water resistance.
