Panasonic Life Solutions India has announced the launch of the LUMIX S1II and LUMIX S1IIE full-frame mirrorless cameras in the country. Aimed at professional photographers, filmmakers, and content creators, the new models bring upgrades in image quality, video recording formats, and AI-driven autofocus. The LUMIX S1II will be priced at Rs 3,29,990 and the LUMIX S1IIE at Rs 2,69,990, available through authorised dealers and Panasonic’s direct-to-consumer platform.

Features
The LUMIX S1II features a 24.1MP full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor paired with the Venus Engine for faster processing and improved image quality. It supports 5.8K 60p, 5.1K 60p, and 4K 120p video recording, along with up to 15 stops of dynamic range in V-Log at frame rates below 30p. It also offers blackout-free burst shooting at up to 70 fps in SH/SH PRE mode and expanded open gate recording at 5.1K 60p.
The LUMIX S1IIE comes with a 24.2MP sensor, 6K 30p open gate video recording, and a cinematic 2.4:1 aspect ratio option. It delivers over 14 stops of dynamic range in V-Log and supports burst shooting up to 30 fps electronically and 10 fps mechanically, both blackout-free.
Both models include AI-powered Phase Hybrid Autofocus with improved subject recognition, an Urban Sports mode for tracking fast-moving activities, and enhanced 8.0-stop in-body image stabilisation. Internal Apple ProRes RAW HQ recording is supported without external recorders, and both offer ARRI LogC3 support via a software key.
Additional features include a 5.76M-dot electronic viewfinder, a 1.84M-dot tilt and free-angle LCD, dual media slots for SD and CFexpress Type B cards, and operation in temperatures as low as -10°C. Connectivity options integrate with Capture One, Frame.io, LUMIX Lab, and the upcoming LUMIX Flow for production workflows.
