Oppo to launch F29 series in India on March 20

Oppo India will launch the OPPO F29 series on March 20, 2025. The company calls it the "Durable Champion" because it is built to handle tough conditions. The phone features a 360° Armour Body, it is waterproof, and the company claims that it has passed 14 military-grade tests for durability.

Price and availability

OPPO has not yet announced the price of the F29 series. The F29 Pro will come in Marble White and Granite Black, while the F29 will be available in Solid Purple and Glacier Blue.

Key features

The OPPO F29 series is designed for durability. At 180g it is extremely lightwieght and slim, it measures 7.55mm. The phone has passed IP66, IP68, and IP69 tests, meaning it is resistant to dust and water. It can handle high-pressure water jets and survive being submerged in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.

The 360° Armour Body protects the phone from drops. It has Sponge Bionic Cushioning to absorb shocks and a Raised Corner Design Cover for extra protection. The camera is also shielded by a Lens Protection Ring made of tough glass.

The phone’s frame is made from aerospace-grade aluminium, making it 10% stronger than the previous model. It has been tested against rain, dust, heat, humidity, and even cleaning chemicals. If water gets into the speakers, the phone emits a sound to push the water out.
