Oppo is set to expand its Reno series in India, with the introduction of the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Reno 14 Pro 5G. Both these smartphones were earlier unveiled in China in May and will have a global release in the coming days. While the base Reno 14 5G is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, the Pro 5G variant could be backed by a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC.
Oppo Reno 14 5G series: Expected India launch timeline, specifications
According to X (formerly known as Twitter) tipster Yogesh Brar, the Oppo Reno 14 5G and Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G will launch in India by the first week of July. This means that just a few months after the Reno 13 lineup, which launched in January, we will see its successors. However, an exact launch date in India is still unknown. Like the global models, these smartphones could come in green and white colour options.
The Indian variants of the Oppo Reno 14 5G series are expected to be similar to their Chinese counterparts. To recall, the Reno 14 5G was launched in China with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, while the Pro variant comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. Both phones come with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, with the Pro model coming with a 6,200mAh battery, while the base model comes with a 6,000mAh battery.
In terms of photography, both smartphones come with a triple camera setup. However, the Reno 14 Pro 5G offers all three lenses with 50MP resolution, and the Reno 14 5G comes with dual 50MP cameras and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. In China, the Oppo Reno 14 5G series has a starting price of CNY 2,799 (around Rs 33,200) and goes up to CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 53,400). In India, we can expect them to be priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 50,000, like the Oppo Reno 13 5G series.
