K13 5G vs iQoo Z10x

The sub Rs 20,000 smartphone segment is being catered to with competitive offerings as Oppo has brought its own contender in the mix with the K13 5G. It packs one of the biggest batteries ever seen in a smartphone, and offers decent hardware. A few weeks ago, iQOO also unveiled the Z10x 5G with a large 6,500 mAh battery and similar specifications, and it aims to be a direct competitor to the Oppo K13.

In this article, we will do a spec-by-spec comparison of the Oppo K13 with the iQOO Z10x to find out which one is the best fit for users looking to buy a smartphone under Rs 20,000.

Design and display

The Oppo K13 has a polycarbonate back with a thickness of 8.45 mm and a weight of 208 grams. In terms of water and dust resistance, the K13 comes with an IP65 rating, which means that it can handle a little splash and even light rainfall. However, it will not support full submersion in water. Further, it has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits of peak brightness.

In contrast, the iQOO Z10x comes with a bigger 6.72-inch LCD screen with 1050 nits peak brightness, which also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also has a MIL-STD-810H certification. However, it has no official IP rating and is only splash resistant. It also weighs 4 grams less than the K13.

Software and performance

The Oppo K13 runs on Android 15 with Color OS skin on top. It comes loaded with multiple customization features and also comes with useful AI enhancements. The device will recieve two years of major Android updates and three years of security patches. Further, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor and comes in 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage variants with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

The iQOO Z10x also comes with Android 15 out of the box with the FunTouchOS 15 skin. With this device, you will only have two major Android updates and three years of security patches. Moreover, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and is available in 6 GB+128 GB, 8 GB+128 GB, and 8 GB+256 GB configurations with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM.

Camera

The Oppo K13 has a dual rear camera setup, which includes a primary 50MP OV50D40 camera sensor and a 2MP depth unit. The device supports 4K video recording at 30fps. It also has a 16MP selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the iQOO Z10x also comes with dual rear cameras, including a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It can also shoot videos up to 4K at 30fps. For selfies, it features an 8MP camera. Therefore, in terms of camera hardware, both devices share a lot of similarities.

Battery and charging

The Oppo K13 comes with a larger 7,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging. Moreover, the charger is included in the box. However, the iQOO Z10x has a smaller 6500mAh battery with 44W charging support. The charger for this phone is also bundled in the box.

The Oppo K13, with its larger battery, will certainly offer improved battery backup when compared to the iQOO Z10x. Its battery can also be topped up quickly with the faster 80W charging support.

Verdict

The Oppo K13, at a slight premium and with its large 7,000 mAh battery, is clearly the better offering amongst these two. It also offers better durability with its IP65 certification and comes with a higher resolution selfie camera. Moreover, the AMOLED screen will be appreciated by most users as it also offers higher peak brightness compared to the iQOO Z10x.

However, for users who have a tighter budget, the iQOO Z10x is a much suitable alternative, as it can be purchased at a much lower price of less than Rs 15,000 currently. It is also available in three different storage and RAM variants and gives users more flexibility to choose the model based on their liking.
