OpenAI is reportedly gearing toward introducing several artificial intelligence (AI) agents soon. The AI startup behind ChatGPT is looking to charge up to $20,000 a month for these AI agents, which will be designed to offer specialised knowledge-based information on various domains. Moreover, these services would not be a part of its existing subscription tiers, and instead, the OpenAI could offer them as standalone services.

According to a new report by The Information, the San Francisco-based AI firm is planning to launch three different AI agents, which would be highly specialised in their knowledge domain. Further, the publication claims that these AI agents could come at a monthly subscription of up to $20,000 (around Rs 17,41,000).
Additionally, one of these AI agents could be a knowledgeable income worker, which would have abilities like strategic planning, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities with a cost of $2,000 (around Rs 1,74,000) a month. Another AI agent, which is currently under development, is likely to be a software developer that could cost $10,000 (around Rs. 8,07,000) a month and is tipped to be an expert in coding, debugging, bug fixing, and code deployment.
Lastly, the third AI agent is supposed to be a PhD-level researcher and will likely be launched at a monthly subscription of $20,000. Notably, this tool will have the most advanced skills and is said to incorporate deep analysis and research simulation. The report also adds that OpenAI's investor, SoftBank, has committed to spend $3 billion (around Rs 26,112 crore) on these AI agents.
