Citing the rising concerns of the green line issue on its smartphones, OnePlus has announced a new initiative called Green Line Worry-Free Solution. The new initiative not only aims to make it easier for users to address the green line issue on their OnePlus phones but also includes display improvements and stringent quality control to prevent it from happening. Apart from this OnePlus is also offering lifetime free screen replacement to all its smartphones with green line issues.

By introducing the Green Line Worry-Free Solution, OnePlus aims to address display-related issues while reinforcing its commitment to user trust and reliability. This initiative reflects the company’s focus on providing durable products and enhancing the user experience.

OnePlus has confirmed that it will offer a lifetime warranty on its phone’s display in case they are affected by a green-line issue. This applies to all existing and upcoming smartphones from the company. This protects users from potential display failures. The warranty aims to provide a seamless and worry-free experience for users throughout the lifespan of their devices.

According to OnePlus, the company has incorporated the Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer in its AMOLED displays. This feature uses PVX edge-sealing materials to improve durability against moisture and oxygen penetration. This enhancement aims to extend the lifespan of displays, even under extreme conditions such as high heat and humidity, reducing the occurrence of green lines.

The company collaborated with industry partners to develop this layer, which has been implemented across all OnePlus AMOLED displays. This approach aims to address environmental challenges and technical constraints affecting display reliability.

OnePlus ensures its displays meet quality standards through tests conducted at its Quality Engineering Lab. These tests simulate extreme conditions, such as the “Double 85” test, which exposes displays to 85°C temperatures and 85% humidity. These evaluations assess durability and performance under stress.

Recognising that green line issues arise from multiple factors, OnePlus has also expanded its testing scenarios to address diverse conditions, ensuring reliability across all devices.
