OnePlus has stepped into the budget tablet space in India with the launch of the OnePlus Pad Lite. The new tablet focuses on entertainment, learning, and everyday use. While the company promises a smooth experience with a big screen and long battery life, how it performs in real-world use remains to be seen.

Price and availability
The OnePlus Pad Lite comes in two variants. The base version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (Wi-Fi only) is priced at Rs 12,999, while the higher-end version with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and 4G LTE support costs Rs 14,999. These prices include bank discounts and launch offers worth up to Rs 2,000.

The tablet will be available in Aero Blue and will go on open sale from August 1, 2025, at 12 PM. You can buy it through OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store app, Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, and other major retail outlets.

Specifications and features
The OnePlus Pad Lite features an 11-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 85.3%. The display supports 10-bit color and goes up to 500 nits brightness. It includes eye comfort features like blue light reduction and flicker control to reduce strain during long viewing sessions.

For audio, the tablet has a quad-speaker setup certified for Hi-Res Audio. OnePlus says the speakers adapt based on screen orientation to offer better sound whether you're watching videos or listening to music.

Inside, the tablet runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 processor and comes with OxygenOS 15.0.1. OnePlus claims the device can maintain smooth performance for up to three years of regular use.

Powering it all is a 9340mAh battery. The company says users can expect up to 80 hours of music playback or 11 hours of video on a full charge. The tablet also supports 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging.

The Pad Lite is 7.39mm thick and weighs 530 grams, with a sandblasted finish for better grip.

Other features include Kids Mode with parental controls, Google Kids Space, and cross-device features like screen mirroring, clipboard sharing, and file transfers with Android and iOS devices. There's also a multitasking tool called Open Canvas that lets you run two apps side by side.

While OnePlus markets the Pad Lite as a practical option for students, families, and casual users, its actual performance will only become clear once it hits the hands of buyers in August.
