OnePlus is all set for a big launch in India on July 8. Along with the new Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 smartphones, the company will also launch its latest wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds 4.
So, what’s new with the Buds 4? For starters, OnePlus says they’re focusing on delivering really good sound. The earbuds come with dual drivers and dual DACs, which basically means clearer and richer audio. They also support Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio, which should make music, movies, and games sound more immersive and detailed.
If you play a lot of mobile games, there’s something for you too. The Buds 4 come with an ultra-low latency Game Mode with just 47ms of delay so you won’t have that annoying lag between what you see and what you hear while gaming.
In terms of looks, you’ll get to pick between two colors: Zen Green and Storm Gray. Simple, clean, and stylish.
Battery life also sounds pretty solid. The earbuds themselves can last up to 11 hours on a single charge, and if you include the charging case, you’re looking at around 45 hours in total, as per claims. Plus, there’s fast charging so even a quick charge should give you hours of playtime.
There are also some nice quality-of-life features. You can control volume by simply sliding your finger on the earbud stems — no need to pull out your phone every time. OnePlus is also adding something called “Steady Connect” to help keep your Bluetooth connection stable, even when you’re walking around or outdoors.
With the Buds 4 launching alongside the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5, OnePlus seems to be offering a full package for people looking for both phones and accessories that work seamlessly together. Pricing and more details will be announced on launch day.
