OnePlus is set to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone later this year. The company is expected to skip the number 14 naming for its next-generation lineup, as it’s considered unlucky in many regions of China, and instead is likely to introduce the OnePlus 15 soon. Ahead of its anticipated debut, a real-life render of the smartphone shows its alleged design, hinting at the phone’s design changes.
OnePlus 15: Expected design, specifications
An alleged image of the purported OnePlus 15 has been going viral on Weibo, which was taken from the Elite Gaming League Finals in China. According to a post by tipster Digital Chat Station, this is indeed a real-life image of the upcoming smartphone, which confirms that OnePlus will likely adopt the OnePlus 13s’ design with the device.
This image shows off the rear panel of the device, giving us a clear picture of the redesigned camera array and the elevated camera bump. This design language has also been adopted by OnePlus’s sibling brand Oppo, with the latest Reno 14 series. It also showcases the smartphone in a new white shade, with a previous leak hinting towards Absolute Black, Dune, and Mist Purple being the other possible colour options.
Previous leaks and reports have claimed that the OnePlus 15 will sport a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K LTPO OLED screen with up to 165Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC with a 7,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. For optics, we could see a triple 50MP camera setup at the back, and the handset will likely run OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.
