After launching the OnePlus 13 series, which consists of the OnePlus 13 and 13R, OnePlus is expected to launch a new compact flagship smartphone in 2025. The device is expected to be named as ‘OnePlus 13 Mini’, and reportedly will come in a compact built with powerful high-end specifications. Recently, a tipster suggested that the phone could be unveiled in April this year, and now according to him, despite its smaller size, the OnePlus 13 Mini could sport a big battery.
OnePlus 13 Mini to launch in the coming months: Expected battery sizeAccording to a Weibo post by popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 Mini will likely come with a large 6,000mAh+ battery alongside a 6.3-inch screen. The tipster added that the phone will launch in the first half of this year, which confirms the earlier information from the same tipster, suggesting that the handset may be introduced in April 2025.
He also adds that other OnePlus and Oppo handsets, which are expected to launch in the second half of 2025, may also come with large battery capacities, potentially ranging between 6,500mAh and 7,000mAh. This has been made possible because of Chinese OEMs putting more effort into creating larger batteries that don't take much space, because of leveraging a "silicon carbon anode" to produce batteries with 6,000mAh or even 6,500mAh capacities, without increasing the size or heft of the phone.
Further, the OnePlus 13 Mini is expected to come with a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat screen and could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The phone is tipped to have a glass body with a metal middle frame. Further, the device will likely have a 50MP primary rear sensor alongside a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x vertical zoom support, with a third 8MP ultrawide shooter.
