Nothing may not be done with its smartphone launches for 2025 just yet. After releasing the Nothing Phone 3 and the Phone 3a lineup earlier this year, a new report suggests the company could introduce another model — the Nothing Phone 3a Lite — in India soon. The information comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, who hinted that the device could make its debut before the end of this year.
Expected variant and design
According to the report, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite will be positioned as a more affordable version of the Phone 3a. The company is expected to offer a single storage variant of 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. It is also said to come in black and white colour options, similar to the other Nothing devices.
The “Lite” moniker suggests that the smartphone could retain the signature transparent design language seen in other Nothing phones while featuring toned-down specifications to keep the pricing competitive. However, the company has yet to share any official details or teasers confirming the device’s existence.
Nothing recently rolled out the open beta of its upcoming Nothing OS 4.0 for Phone 3 users. The new software brings enhanced features, including an improved Essential Space tool that allows call recording and generates automatic summaries. This indicates that Nothing is simultaneously working on both hardware and software updates for its ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the company faced a brief controversy in India after Flipkart cancelled multiple Phone 3 orders, citing incorrect pricing listed by third-party sellers at Rs 26,000. Despite such issues, Nothing continues to see strong interest among Indian buyers.
While the launch timeline and specifications of the Phone 3a Lite remain unconfirmed, the latest report indicates that the device could arrive before 2025 ends. If true, it would mark Nothing’s fourth major smartphone release this year.
