Open-world space exploration game No Man’s Sky is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026 and has a new update from developer Hello Games called “Remnant”. The Remnant update is the first update of 2026 to the space adventure game and adds a gravity gun and several new features to the popular space survival RPG.
The No Man’s Sky’s Remnant update adds the Gravitino Coil–a new anti-gravity module for the multi-tool that can do some serious heavy lifting. With the Gravitino Coil, you can grab large and heavy objects and lift them. The objects can be flung or even carried around. You could also use the gravity gun as a ballistic weapon against Sentinels; grab the Sentinels with it or fling heavy objects.
The Remnant update adds the ability to collect and recycle salvage and debris found on planets for “rare and highly prized” resources. You can build new trucks, tipping flatbeds and haulers to transport resources. Load up your trucks with cargo and take them to the industrial yards to get rewards. Do this work alone or with friends as part of a salvage crew. But you should be careful as some of the cargo you find could be highly volatile.
You can now heavily customise your vehicles and create trucks and haulers for your needs. For example, you can build incinerators, spider-legged sci-fi explorer or heavily armed military vehicles with tank tracks, said the developers.
The Remnant update to No Man’s Sky also adds a limited-time community expedition. As part of this expedition, travellers will come in convoys to clean up and reclaim a planet covered in wrecks and salvage. Various rewards are in store for you, including new vehicle parts, an all-new armour set and ornate steampunk detailing.
No Man’s Sky received plenty of updates last year, like Worlds Part II, Voyagers, Relics, Beacon, Breach, etc.
