Streaming platform Netflix faced some streaming issues during the highly anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, leaving many fans frustrated. The fighting event, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was broadcast live on Netflix, marking the platform's first major boxing event.
As per Downdetector, the platform that keeps track of outages, there were about 14,000 issues reported about Netflix during the fight. Most users said that they faced streaming issues whereas some pointed out they faced login troubles. In India, close to 1,200 complaints of streaming issues on Netflix were reported on Downdetector
According to a report by US Today, viewers across the United States — and beyond — reported buffering problems, poor video quality, and even complete service outages. The issues began during the undercard matches and persisted throughout the night, causing many fans to miss key moments of the fights. Social media platforms like X and Reddit were flooded with complaints, with users expressing their disappointment.
Netflix has not yet issued an official statement or made any comment about the streaming issues faced by users.
