Age of Empires Mobile launches this October

Microsoft has confirmed the launch date of Age of Empires Mobile, the mobile strategy game hailing from the beloved Age of Empires franchise of real-time strategy (RTS) titles. Age of Empires Mobile comes to Android and iOS platforms on October 17, 2024.

With Age of Empires Mobile, Age of Empires–one of the most popular real-time strategy video game franchises of all time–will come to the mobile platform. Microsoft confirmed the release date of Age of Empires Mobile with a post on the Age of Empires Mobile Official page on X. Age of Empires Mobile is a brand new medieval war strategy game from the Age of Empires franchise, built specifically for the mobile platform.

Age of Empires Mobile is developed by Tencent Games’ subsidiary TiMi Studios and Redmond-based developer World’s Edge. The mobile medieval war strategy game from the Age of Empires franchise is published by Xbox Game Studios.

In Age of Empires Mobile, the developers have merged the elements of classic Age of Empires games with “brand-new and mobile-specific gameplay”.

In Age of Empires Mobile, you can take control of up to five troops at a time. Once you select them, you can freely move them across the map. You can also control siege engines in real time and rain down burning boulders on enemy walls.
