Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater’s online multiplayer mode “Fox Hunt” will launch in Fall 2025, developer and publisher Konami announced on its website. Announced in June, Fox Hunt is a “completely original” online multiplayer experience and different from Metal Gear: Online. Although it is set in the world of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Fox Hunt features a different “hide-and-seek” gameplay, one taking inspiration from the Sneaking rule from Metal Gear Online.
“Based on the iconic stealth and survival elements of the Metal Gear series, we’re taking camouflage and hide-and-go-seek to the next level. We challenged ourselves to make something unique that is more than just a shootout. We’ve used that back-and-forth tension of staying hidden or searching out the enemy to create an online experience unique to Metal Gear,” Konami had shared earlier when it announced the Fox Hunt mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the remake of 2004’s PS2 game “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.” The single-player tactical and survival stealth action game is all set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on August 28, 2025. While the story and the setting remain the same, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater adds numerous features and items to the gameplay. For example, players can either choose an over-the-shoulder third-person viewpoint in New Style or a top-down viewpoint in Legacy Style. Konami has also added a quick-select menu so that players can change their camos easily.
