Insomniac Games is the maker of three Spider-Man games for PlayStation: Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is confirmed to launch on PS5 on October 20 this year. While fans wait for Spider-Man 3, actor Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Peter Parker in the Spider-Man games, revealed a bit about what will happen to Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3 in an exclusive interview with The Direct.
On being asked about what Spider-Man 2's ending means for Peter's future in the next title, Lownethal confirmed that Peter "won't be relegated to the couch" and will play a key role in Spider-Man 3:
"There are very few things that I can say about this game, but you have somehow landed on the one thing that I can answer, and that's that, yes, Peter is not gone. He will be a part of the next game and he won't be relegated to the couch, I promise."
It is also rumoured that Spider-Man 3 will feature at least three superheroes: Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Cindy Moon (Silk). But Insomniac Games has confirmed nothing so far.
In Marvel Comics, Cindy is born to scientists Albert Moon Sr. and Nari Moon; she is the sister of Albert Moon Jr. She gets bitten by the same radioactive spider that bites Peter Parker. As Peter gets the ‘spider sense’, she gets what is termed as "Silk Sense", which is far stronger than Peter's spider sense. Silk is a trained hand-to-hand combatant, has an eidetic memory and is a capable researcher
As per Marvel.com, Cindy Moon “has superhuman strength, lifting approximately 5 tons. Her musculature is later augmented so she can lift (press) about 8 tons. Since she and Parker were bit by the same spider, Cindy can sense and track him anywhere across the Multiverse”.
If Silk (Cindy Moon) is confirmed for the next Spider-Man game as a playable character, it gives Insomniac Games more variety to add to the gameplay. However, we must wait for an announcement from the Spider-Man games maker.
