Marvel Cosmic Invasion to add Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer as playable characters

Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer are coming to Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Upcoming arcade-style beat ’em up superhero game Marvel Cosmic Invasion will add two new playable characters to its roster: Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer. Publisher Dotemu announced the two new characters in a post on X. The arcade-style Marvel game also got a new character reveal trailer for Beta Ray Bill and the Silver Surfer.

The two newcomers to the beat ‘em up game were earlier revealed during the “MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Deep Dive – A Nostalgia Driven Approach to Your Favorite Characters” panel at the San Diego Comic Con.

In case the comics enthusiast in you needs a refresher, the Silver Surfer is a “metallic-skinned humanoid alien hailing from the Fantastic Four series. Imbued with the Power Cosmic, the Surfer can stun any adversary. Easily gliding in the skies or close to the ground, insectoid invaders can’t escape Galactus’ former herald.”

Beta Ray Bill is a “fan-favorite recognized by the mighty Thor as a proven ally, and wielder of his own devastating hammer known as Stormbreaker. Half-cyborg, half Korbinite, Bill’s strength can squash any bug battalion standing in his way,” publisher Dotemu notes.

In Marvel Cosmic Invasion, superheroes from Marvel Comics like Captain America, Spider-Man, Storm, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Nova and many others band together to save the cosmos from Annihilus who has launched his Annihilation Wave.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion developer Tribute Games also unveiled the voice cast for the game. Marvel Cosmic Invasion will feature voiceovers for its playable roster, as well as “the most pivotal figures within its galaxy-spanning narrative,” as per the developers.

The voice cast of Marvel Cosmic Invasion includes the following talents:

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) in 2025.
