MakeMyTrip partners with Google Cloud to enhance AI-powered trip planning with Myra platform
MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company, has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to enhance its AI-based Myra platform, aiming to simplify trip planning and booking for travellers across India. The collaboration focuses on making Myra’s planning experience more intuitive, personalized, and accessible by leveraging Google Cloud’s AI technologies, including Gemini, Vertex AI, and Google Maps.
The upgraded Myra platform will use Google Cloud’s advanced AI models to generate highly personalized itineraries based on users’ travel preferences, budget, and duration, improving upon existing chatbot-based systems.
Enhanced travel experience With this partnership, Myra introduces several new features to help users plan smarter trips. Through intuitive destination discovery, travellers can now find places aligned with their preferred “vibe” — such as adventure, wellness, tranquility, or pilgrimage — powered by integrations with Google Maps, Nearby Search, and Places API. The platform also surfaces contextual insights, including weather updates, local cuisine, popular attractions, and commute options, to create dynamic and information-rich itineraries. MakeMyTrip has also deployed custom AI models alongside Google’s suite of tools such as Gemini, Gemma, and multimedia models like Veo and Imagen to visualize and optimize itineraries. These models allow travellers to build flexible plans that balance cost, duration, and personal interests.
