Luminous launches EDGE GO series, India’s first smart audio portable power station with up to 1200W output

Luminous Power Technologies has announced the launch of its new EDGE GO series, introducing India’s first smart audio portable power station. The company says this product category is designed for people who want uninterrupted power along with entertainment while on the move. The flagship EDGE GO 1500 integrates a high-capacity power source with a premium sound system, combining energy and audio in a single device.

The EDGE GO series is built around the idea of powering multiple appliances while also serving as an entertainment companion. The flagship EDGE GO 1500 delivers up to 1200W pure sine wave output with a 1120Wh capacity, which the company claims can run over 90 types of household and professional appliances. The device is BIS-certified, solar-ready, and designed for both daily and professional use.

One of the key highlights is its charging speed. The EDGE GO uses bidirectional smart inverter technology, which enables the device to charge up to 10 times faster than conventional systems. Luminous says it can reach full charge in just 1.5 hours, making it seven times faster than most portable power solutions available today.

On the entertainment side, the portable station features a 90W sound system that includes a 6-inch 50W subwoofer and two 2-inch 15W speakers. It also comes with two wireless microphones, a guitar input port, and Bluetooth connectivity, making it suitable for events, outdoor gatherings, or professional use.

Durability and safety have also been emphasized. The device uses a LiFePO4 battery with Lithium-ion technology, offering more than 3,000 charging cycles. It is built with fire-resistant V0-grade materials and is IP34-rated for splash resistance, ensuring safe operation in different environments.

The EDGE GO series will be available in four models: P700, P1000, P1200, and the top-end EDGE GO 1500. This line-up has been designed to meet varying needs, from compact everyday backup to larger professional setups.

To support the product, Luminous is providing a five-year replaceable warranty, which it says is the most comprehensive in this category. The company’s service network of over 350 centers across India will also handle customer support and on-the-go service requests.

Following a digital-first strategy, Luminous has made the EDGE GO series available exclusively on Amazon India and its own eShop. With this launch, the company is aiming to establish a new category of portable power stations that combine utility with entertainment.
