Light Phone 3

Smartphones have taken over our lives. We pick them up for a quick check and somehow lose an hour scrolling through endless feeds. That’s where the Light Phone III comes in.

The Light Phone III is a phone that lets you call and text without sucking you into a black hole of distractions. But it’s not an entirely dumb phone—it comes with a few handy tools like an alarm, timer, calculator, calendar, notes, and even a basic music or podcast player. Need directions? It has GPS. Want to jot down a quick voice memo? It’s got that too.

What it doesn’t have? Social media, internet browsing, email, ads, or anything designed to keep you glued to the screen. No doom-scrolling here.

How’s it different from every other phone?

The Light Phone III is the opposite of a typical smartphone—it helps you stay connected without getting sucked in. There’s no WhatsApp, Signal, or rideshare apps (at least for now), and don’t expect Spotify either. It’s all about keeping things intentional.

That said, it’s not totally barebones. Unlike its predecessor, it has a camera (finally!), GPS, Bluetooth, fingerprint ID, noise cancellation, voice-to-text, and even a personal hotspot. The front camera and NFC chip aren’t active at launch, but future updates could bring video calls and a digital wallet.
